The Museum dedicated to the artist shows us the strong link between Pablo Picasso and Barcelona. You discover an interesting collection of his work from 1895 to 1904, years he lived in Barcelona to study at the Art Academy. He had strong links with the modernists, particularly the ones going to the same tavern, „les quatres cats“ today still active. The museum shows you a path of the different styles and disciplines of Picasso, from his early works, passing by the blue period or cubism. You will enjoy his works such „The first communion“ , „Las Meninas“ or numerous engraving and drawing from the artist. Situated in the old town the museum is built in a combination of five medieval palaces. You will appreciate the walk through the small typical streets where you will discover a lot of alternative shops of the moving district of El Born.
