Josep Puig i Cadafalch, Catalan Architect born in Mataro in 1867. Student of Lluís Domènech i Montaner, well know architect of Barcelona, Puig Is known as the last modernist architect but also represent a new style of early 19’s in the city and finish its carrier preparing the International exhibition of Barcelona in 1929. Today you can still admire many buildings in Barcelona realized by Puig i Cadafalch, as La casa Amatller, ,Casa Company , Palau Baró de Quadras # Casa Serra, Fàbrica Casaramona ,Casa Muntades, Casa de les Punxes/Casta Tarrades, Torre Pastor de Cruïlles and also Casa Martí, today a well know restaurant, Els Quatre Gats. He died at the age of 89 years old in his house of Barcelona leaving the city a rich architectural heritage.
