The 21st of December 1783, two French men: Jean François Pilâtre de Rozier and François Laurente d’Arlendes was the first people to take offin a balloon designed by Montgolfier brothers. The balloon had a wicker basket with a wood oven to keep hot air inside. That flight lasted 25 minutes over the sky of Paris. The balloon covered a distance of 8 km and it landed near the path of Fontainebleau successfully.
